It seems everyone wants to see belly pics, so I thought I would post this one from my shower.

baby shower pics

Chris and I were so happy and overwhelmed; our church is so generous!
Super cute picture album and onesie set!

Every little boy needs a bear!

Getting tickled about rubber duckies!

Here are a few pictures from the baby shower Odom Memorial Baptist (our home church) gave for us. Many thanks go out to everyone who blessed us with so many things we needed! To Alesha, Barbara, Granny, Papaw, Tony, and Jake: Thank you so much for making sure this shower was incredible. Your hard work did not go unnoticed!

More pictures!

Haven and Alesha

Logan's Uncle Jake

Seeing as how the last few posts have had pictures of my family and Logan, I thought I should also include some pics of Chris's family, all of whom I adore beyond words. I have known his family since I was very young (4th grade) and spent most of my middle and high school years at their house, eating their food and being my ever-annoying self. Regardless of all of that, they still love me like one of their own, and that unto itself says volumes about how wonderful these people are. The first picture is of Barbara (their mom), Alesha (his sister), and Tony (their dad) after the wedding. The second picture is of Alesha with her husband Haven at Barb and Tony's cozy home. On a side note, Haven is a lot like me in that he has also been accepted with open arms regardless of our annoying personality traits. Last, but never least, is Chris's super sweet and generous brother, Jake. In case you don't already know, Jake is the most excited out of all our family about baby Logan. And if you know our family, that is no small feat in itself!

Little Logan

Many of you already know that our little man is due on January 1st, 2009. However, this Monday during our doctor's appointment, we were told that Logan was measuring a little big. We were given the option to induce labor a few days before or after Christmas, and we chose before so we could have him home on Christmas. So, if Logan doesn't come on his own by Monday the 22nd, our wonderful OB is going to induce labor Tuesday morning. I have attached a picture of the 4-D, but don't be alarmed. They are very hazy because Logan likes to be as near to the top of my placenta as possible, so there was not enough fluid between him and the placenta to make a clear picture. The first is of his face, hazy and blocked a bit by the cord, etc. The second picture is what we fondly call "the Hulk," because it looks like he is flexing a muscle (only Chris's child would do this in utero). :) The final is of his little feet, which look just like his father's. I promise to post some pics when he gets here; hopefully those won't be hazy.

Pieces of Me

Since I am on a roll today, I thought it would be nice to include a couple of pictures of my family. I am extremely close to my family and to my husband's, so take the upcoming pictures as a sort of introduction to my nearest and dearest; you will hear much more about them all. The first picture is of my family (minus my oldest sis, Shelia) at a party at Jessica's house when she became a captain in the Army. My mom is on the left, then Jess, Dad, me, and Jennifer. The second picture is one of my favorites of my husband Chris and I from two years ago around Christmas time. I will post more of Chris's family shortly and maybe one of two of the 4-D ultrasound of Logan.

Our First Blog

After many, many months of hearing about blogspot from friends at school and admiring their pages, I have finally broken down and decided to create one. The main catalyst is really to help keep everyone updated on our little Logan, who is due on January 1st. So, if you are as curious as I am, feel free to check this site as you like. I am sure it will mainly be about Logan, as that is my obsession these days (I hope that isn't too unhealthy). Let's hope I do better on updating this one than I do with myspace and facebook :)
